This evening I did a quick search of etsyhookers on etsy and immediately happened upon this new listing of HomemadeZen that caught my eye. Doesn’t it just make you want to dance the hula? It also makes me long for warmer weather since spring seems to have disappeared on me. (I cannot complain too much, just cold without snow.) I imagine HomemadeZen is wishing for spring weather more than I am since she lives near my in-laws in the Syracuse, New York area.
What is this, looking out the window? Why, its an elephant!! And a cute one at that! Those flowers are the cutest finishing touch.
HomemadeZen also has a pattern available in her shop for those of you who know how to crochet and would like to make one of her delightful creations.
If you head over to Etsy, please consider checking out my shop as well, Laura’s Left Hook.
ASL signs for the post:To sign bear, cross your arms over your chest and scratch your shoulders with your fingers.
For elephant, using your dominant hand, show the shape of the elephant’s trunk as if you were the elephant. You may use a C hand shape for showing the trunk as in the kindersigns website; Lifeprint shows two options.
Lastly, to sign cat you show the cat’s whiskers. This can be done with one hand or two. Kindersigns shows it with an “F” hand shape, which is how I do it, but I have also seen it with a “G” hand shape.
Oh my Laura…what a great choice you made in HomemadeZen. I just love her cute little animals.
