I think that Jaybird Designs patterns and items for young girls were the first things that caught my eye from her shop since I have two daughters of my own. Then, in the past week, I noticed her gorgeous afghan almost wished for cold weather again. When I checked out her shop today, I realized she is from Grand Junction, Colorado; my husband actually has been there on a family hunting trip with his dad and brother in the past. What a small world we have….
I would love something like this for my daughters as well as myself for those summery dresses that need just a little something over them. Since it is white, it would go very well with just about any spring or summer dress or a dressy tank top.
This is one I should really consider purchasing to make for my kids. They would love me forever if I made them a top like this for the summer. Since you buy the pattern, you could make it in any favorite color for the special child in your life.
Even though it is nearly warm weather time here, I love the thought of having cold weather again to wrap myself up in this afghan. The geometric patterns, along with the lovely shades of color, make this one well worth it. There is much time, effort, and yarn in this project.

ASL Signs for the Post:For blanket, show pulling your blanket up from about midsection up to your chest. Since I am not sure about the validity of some of the sites that show variations for different types of shirts, I will just explain the generic shirt sign. With your dominant hand, pinch your shirt with your index finger and thumb slightly.
