As long as flower scrubbies are made to be sold off line and not in on line venues (which would be direct competition for me), I have no problem with these being made to be sold. Thanks so much for asking first.

I have a friend that Has asked me to make some of these for her. I agreed that I would and did, but now her friends have started contacting me as well. I would love to do this, but I would charge for them. Since I don't own the pattern I would like your permission to sell these.

They are really cute and fun. With Christmas coming up (and with so many requests so far) I will be busy. If you choose not to agree, I will respect your wishes.

Thanks so much for your time. BTW this is an awesome pattern!!!

Cheers,
Jan

I am sorry that you disagree with the opinions I was given by a fluent signer who is also a certified interpreter. I do not remember her exact examples from when she explained her reservations about the site, so I cannot give them here. Since she has explained differences in regional dialects as well as the differences between ASL and SEE and SE, I do not believe that her issues with the site had anything to do with regional slang and so forth.

As with any resource, it is always a good idea to back it up with a second resource to make sure the information is correct. Even with sites and books that I have heard good things about, I always check a second source before sharing or using information as true in any subject.

I am sorry you have been mis -informed. ASLPRO is used at well Known colleges in NC. Not only as a teaching tool..but as a study tool. Interpreters and deaf from these colleges and gaulledette college have verrified its usefullness. According to those I have spoken with It is nationally Correct...Unless you are looking for Geographical slang signs. It does not carry slang..However it is updated occasionally to include more signs or the more popular version of a sign. I have found it extremely useful In my research and learning experience. MY Husband Is Deaf also. My children are both fluent and communicate without assistance in the deaf community. The have never taken a 'class'. I will say and most teachers will tell you learning from the deaf culture /community themselves is the Very Best Source.

I have heard negative comments about ASLPRO from fluent signers, so I stay away from it unless I can confirm the signs are correct through another source.
